Historian Brenda Wahler will describe how the complex influence of Montana’s best-known copper king, Marcus Daly, tapped resources across Montana, including in Gallatin County. Brenda’s new book, Marcus Daly’s Montana Empires, will be available for purchase and a book signing will follow this free presentation.

The Board and Staff of the Gallatin History Museum cordially invite you to our Annual Members Meeting and Program. A short meeting (for Gallatin History Museum Members only) will be followed by a free presentation by John and Connie Onstad. The Onstad family was the last Sheriff ’s family to reside at the Gallatin County Jail (now the Gallatin History Museum), and they will share memories, stories, and thoughts related to their work and life in the building. Refreshments and a museum open house will follow the presentation.
